Sorry, it was a typo. The correct sequences are: modprobe -r nouveau modprobe nouveau modeset=1 (In reply to Takashi Iwai from comment #7) am interested in rather getting the message afterward.
Comment #4 suggestion works with kernel 5.1.7, but not with 4.12.14-lp151.32.1.g543ddd7. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Thanks for the information, and apologies for the late reaction, as I've been on vacation in the last week.
I thought so, 1 week after 15.1 release announcement, but found a commit with your email address dated only 2-3 days ago. How did that happen?
The package should appear later at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/tiwai:/bsc1136978/standard/

I guess you're seeing a patch from me that has been submitted to upstream earlier, but it was merged to SUSE kernel recently by another person. That is, the committer is a different person from the patch author (me).

Good to hear. The patches are on the way to SLE15-SP1 branch and openSUSE-15.1 branch. Hopefully they get merged at the next kernel update. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
