[Bug 1207145] Wayland / Pipewire breaks x11 sound setup with auto mute
https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1207145 https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1207145#c9 --- Comment #9 from Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.com> --- It's still not clear what is actually broken. As mentioned, please check whether you can reproduce the problem. If yes, we can go more deeply into the issue. About PulseAudio and pipewire: both can run at the same time, at least, on Leap 15.4 and TW, so far. But, as pipewire is a sort of mandatory infrastructure for Wayland (for the video sharing), it's also better to replace PulseAudio with pipewire completely. For that, you can simply install pipewire-pulseaudio package. Then pipewire behaves as PulseAudio, and most of commands keep working as is. If both PA and PW coexist, and if you try to enable the audio part of PW accidentally, it might cause some side effect. Especially when you touch the raw ALSA interface, it might confuse systems as well. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
