It's still not clear what is actually broken.  As mentioned, please check
whether you can reproduce the problem.  If yes, we can go more deeply into the
issue.

About PulseAudio and pipewire: both can run at the same time, at least, on Leap
15.4 and TW, so far.  But, as pipewire is a sort of mandatory infrastructure
for Wayland (for the video sharing), it's also better to replace PulseAudio
with pipewire completely.  For that, you can simply install pipewire-pulseaudio
package.  Then pipewire behaves as PulseAudio, and most of commands keep
working as is.

If both PA and PW coexist, and if you try to enable the audio part of PW
accidentally, it might cause some side effect.  Especially when you touch the
raw ALSA interface, it might confuse systems as well.
