I think the actual problem is that the property group "icon" was added to AbstractButton in QtQuick.Controls 2.3 i.e. Qt 5.10, but Leap 15.1 ships with Qt 5.9 that doesn't have it yet... Unfortunately, I could not check the patch since it requires libQt5Core.so.5(Qt_5.12)(64bit).
That's built for KDE:Frameworks5 and requires the latest Qt from KDE:Qt5.
