https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=427492 Summary: Visiting mozillalinks.org causes severe performance problems and can crash X Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: saarmstrong@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: aaragoneses@novell.com Found By: --- Steps to reproduce: 0. I'm running GNOME, with Compiz 0.7.6-20.1 from the X11:XGL repo as my window manager. All other packages discussed in this bug report are from the main openSUSE repo. 1. Run MozillaFirefox 3.0.1-2.1 2. Visit http://mozillalinks.org/wp/2008/05/first-look-to-thunderbird-3-aka-shredder-... Expected results: View site with no drop in performance, no crashes, etc. Works fine in Epiphany 2.22.1.1-25.1. Actual results: With my regular profile, running extensions like AdBlock Plus, Firefox performance slows, Firefox may hang, and the window manager becomes extremely sluggish. I have to close the tab or kill Firefox. With a clean profile, I experienced the same slowdowns, but after killing Firefox X actually crashed and I had to log back in. I've been somewhat reluctant to continue testing after this. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
