[Bug 610290] New: Cannot add existing encrypted partition during fresh installation
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=610290 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=610290#c0 Summary: Cannot add existing encrypted partition during fresh installation Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Milestone 7 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: aschnell@novell.com ReportedBy: kukuk@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: Development Blocker: --- I have an openSUSE 11.1 installation on my laptop, which does contain an encrypted /home partition (/dev/sda9, was /dev/mapper/cr_sda9 in /etc/fstab on 11.1). During installation of 11.3 on another partition, I wanted to add my old /home partition, but this is not possible: - during installation, YaST2 asks me for the password, fine. - In partition manager, the check box for "encrypted device" is set. - YaST2 writes /dev/sda9 for /home in /etc/fstab, no crypttab or anything else is generated. - during boot, system complains that /dev/sda9 does not contain a valid filesystem. - I don't see any possibility to add /dev/cr_sda9 as /home during installation. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
