[Bug 918936] New: Huawei E303 not functional with current usb_modeswitch
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=918936 Bug ID: 918936 Summary: Huawei E303 not functional with current usb_modeswitch Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 624084 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=624084&action=edit Patch against usb_modeswitch distribution of openSUSE 13.2 When plugging an E303 Huawei internet-stick into a PC running openSUSE 13.2 it is not detected. The device remains a storage medium rather than being converted what it should be. Therefore I had to make modifications both in /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules and in /usr/share/usb_modeswitch/12d1:1f01 though there are rules that ought to cover this device - but they don't (I am referring to the huawei-timing.patch and the original contents of 12d1:1f01. Probably someone with more in-depth insight than I can interpret what is going wrong here. Thank you for looking into this take care Dieter Jurzitza -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
