Patch against usb_modeswitch distribution of openSUSE 13.2
When plugging an E303 Huawei internet-stick into a PC running openSUSE 13.2 it
is not detected. The device remains a storage medium rather than being
converted what it should be.
Therefore I had to make modifications both in
/usr/lib/udev/rules.d/40-usb_modeswitch.rules and in
/usr/share/usb_modeswitch/12d1:1f01
though there are rules that ought to cover this device - but they don't (I am
referring to the huawei-timing.patch and the original contents of 12d1:1f01.
Probably someone with more in-depth insight than I can interpret what is going
wrong here.
Thank you for looking into this
take care
