https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=380464 User plowe@novell.com added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=380464#c1 Summary: Twinkle segfaulting on startup Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: hvogel@novell.com ReportedBy: plowe@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Component Test After installing Twinkle and running it for the first time, it loads and runs without any apparent problems, but is then unable to be run on subsequent attempts (segfaulting before any windows appear). No information is added to ~/.twinkle/twinkle.log after the first run. One thing: twinkle seems to run OK using the CLI. ==================== Version information: ==================== [vini:plowe]:~ $ cat /etc/SuSE-release openSUSE 10.3 (X86-64) VERSION = 10.3 [vini:plowe]:~ $ uname -a Linux vini 2.6.22.17-0.1-default #1 SMP 2008/02/10 20:01:04 UTC x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux [vini:plowe]:~ $ rpm -q twinkle-debuginfo twinkle-debuginfo-1.1-24.1 [vini:plowe]:~ $ twinkle --version Twinkle 1.1 - 21 July 2007 Copyright (C) 2005-2007 Michel de Boer http://www.twinklephone.com Built with support for: ALSA, KDE, Speex, iLBC, ZRTP Contributions: * ALSA - Rickard Petzall * ZRTP/SRTP - Werner Dittmann This software contains the following software from 3rd parties: * GSM codec from Jutta Degener and Carsten Bormann, University of Berlin * G.711/G.726 codecs from Sun Microsystems (public domain) * iLBC implementation from RFC 3951 (www.ilbcfreeware.org) * Parts of the STUN project at http://sourceforge.net/projects/stun * Parts of libsrv at http://libsrv.sourceforge.net/ For RTP the following dynamic libraries are linked: * GNU ccRTP - http://www.gnu.org/software/ccrtp * GNU CommonC++ - http://www.gnu.org/software/commoncpp ==================================== Log (from the first successful use): ==================================== [vini:plowe]:~ $ cat .twinkle/twinkle.log +++ 16-4-2008 14:32:38.591123 INFO NORMAL t_log::t_log Twinkle 1.1, July 21 2007 --- +++ 16-4-2008 14:32:38.591240 INFO NORMAL t_log::t_log Built with support for: ALSA, KDE, Speex, iLBC, ZRTP --- +++ 16-4-2008 14:32:38.591255 INFO NORMAL ::main Threading implementation is NPTL. --- +++ 16-4-2008 14:32:38.591519 INFO NORMAL t_user::read_config Reading config: plowe.cfg --- +++ 16-4-2008 14:32:38.593518 INFO NORMAL t_phone_user::t_phone_user plowe: buddy list loaded. --- +++ 16-4-2008 14:32:38.593587 INFO NORMAL ::main ICMP processing enabled. --- ============ Stack trace: ============ System configuration startup check disabled.
