Stefan had the same issue, but I cannot reproduce here, I still have Caps_Lock. Check your xorg.conf for your keyboard layout, and setxkbmap -print, and verify whether you're using a shift_group option. Unfortunately, the keyboard subsystem is pretty weird, e.g. Caps_Lock and Shift_Lock behave completely different - Caps_Lock does nothing, but can be bound to the Lock modifier, while Shift_Lock works on its own. So you have two options - reconfigure your keyboard to use Caps_Lock again, or remove the Shift_Lock behavior. If you want to get rid of Shift_Lock, you have to use keysym Shift_Lock = (i.e. empty assignment). If you want to be on the save side, remove both, the Lock modifier, and the Shift_Lock binding. Closing as INVALID for now, as there is no bug in the X system, but a configuration change.
