I have not tested this with any other desktop environments. When power management is set so that when you close the lid on a laptop Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.In power settings, set your current mode to close lid 2.Close laptop lid 3.The panels, task manager, widgets, etc. will freeze and not work. 4.In kde plasma, the Kickoff application launcher at first will be unclickable but it eventually becomes clickable again. But at this point, the applications in the list are unclickable until a log out. Actual Results: The desktop should be unchanged. Expected Results: The panels and widgets freeze upon opening the lid.
