[Bug 341323] New: /boot/grub/menu.lst f*cked up, after kernel update
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=341323 Summary: /boot/grub/menu.lst f*cked up, after kernel update Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: w.v.velzen@sercom.nl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Created an attachment (id=183180) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=183180) menu.lst and menu.lst.old after the update After the recent kernel update (to version 2.6.22.12-0.1) the file /boot/grub/menu.lst was not as it should be. 1) I had an entry in the menu for menutest86. This was gone after the update. 2) In my default kernel entry "resume=/dev/md0" was added. This wasn't in my default kernel entry before the update. (I had to remove this because with it my system won't boot, it ends up with a grub error. See bug 341309) Further more the file /boot/grub/menu.lst.old isn't a backup of the menu.lst as it was before the update, but seems to be some "in the middle of the update" state with a mix of the old and new version. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
