If these processes are not closed they persist through reboots. They constantly occupy memory. That's close to impossible.. except if you have anything 'autostarting' an epiphany session that happens to just crash again. When I killed it and rebooted, it wasn't there. I did check the gnome-session-properties for epiphany and it doesn't exist. I haven't launched it myself since I filed the bug report.
