Previously, along to this installation I kept 10.3 installation. I noticed several regressions (will report all of them in separate issues). KPowersave, "powersave -B", and acpi_listen don't reflect plugging or unplugging AC power. KPowersave and "powersave -B" do show that the battery is discharging when unplugged, but both still think AC is plugged in. I can't get acpi_listen to output anything at all (except that it segfaults when using --count or --time...). I found out while gathering information that system started to notice plugging/unplugging suddenly. I decided to test it again, so I restarted computer and tried again after system loaded fully. I didn't work. However, I left that machine for ten minutes running and after coming back plugging/unplugging worked again. The conclusion is that this bug is present only after booting system and disappears if computer is running long enough. These should (or were already) become the new 11.1 update kernels. If this does still not work you could try the very latest 2.6.29-rcX kernels from here: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/kernel/kotd/HEAD/i586/kernel-default.rpm also do not forget the kernel-default-base.rpm then. You should additionally install (not update) the latter kernel with rpm -ivh .. As the latter is experimental. Like that you can fall back to your already installed kernel. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
