I've started tracking this branch to follow the ongoing kde4-integration work in Firefox. atm, I've installed rpm -qa | egrep -i "^mozilla|xul" | sort MozillaFirefox-32.99-9.1.x86_64 MozillaFirefox-branding-upstream-32.99-9.1.x86_64 mozilla-js-24.5.0-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-kde4-integration-0.6.4-40.1.x86_64 mozilla-nspr-4.10.7-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nspr-devel-4.10.7-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nss-3.17.1-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nss-certs-3.17.1-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nss-devel-3.17.1-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nss-sysinit-3.17.1-1.1.x86_64 mozilla-nss-tools-3.17.1-1.1.x86_64 on openSUSE 13.1 with these bins installed, after a file download in FF, selecting "Open Containing Folder ..." does, now, correctly open the Dolphin dialog. otoh, File -> "Open File ..." and File -> "Save Page as ..." still open the Gnome/Nautilus dialog, i.e., NOT Dolphin. On both systems Firefox open and save dialogs are using KDE filepickers. Have no 33.0b9 installation anymore but there _shouldn't_ be any difference to 33.0. My KDE testusers do not have any structure below .local/share/applications/ so I cannot really compare that one. Tried it with Firefox 33.0 on 13.1
v33? from uptream? or is it pkg'd already in the openSUSE repos? if so, I've missed it ... I've tried this now, with same results, on 2 different machines. I've configured them both, so it's possible that there's a common config in the way on them both. Atm, just not sure.
My KDE testusers do not have any structure below .local/share/applications/ so I cannot really compare that one.
To test, I mv'd that out of the way; no change in the reported behavior :-/
Without being able to reproduce I have no idea where to start for any debugging.

I've only prepared it yesterday. It'll be released on tuesday officially. If you have got an OBS account you can already find it in the mozilla repo but it's not published yet. (In reply to grant k from comment #3)

Wolfgang -- after discussions onlist a while ago (which died away ...), is it still your integration to get these KDE-integration fixes into upstream?
