--- Comment #10 from Shawn Dunn ---
Ok, so I've really got *zero* idea what's going on here.
I've built replacement pcmanfm-qt, lximage-qt, and libfm-qt, adding the
BuildRequires: that openMandriva has, and openSUSE doesn't. And it appears to
be *kind* of fixed?
A)
Fresh VM of Tumbleweed, with stock openSUSE packages
1) Open PCmanFM-qt
2) Check Preferences, Max Thumbnail Size is set to 4.0 MiB
3) Check ~/.config/pcmanfm-qt/lxqt/settings.conf, confirm
MaxThumbNailFileSize=4096
4) Change Value in PCManFM-Qt preferences to 8.0 MiB, Click OK, and Close
PCManFM-Qt
5) Check ~/.config/pcmanfm-qt/lxqt/settings.conf, MaxThumbNailFileSize=4096.
6) Manually edit settings.conf to MaxThumbNailFileSize=8192
7) Open PCManFM-Qt, Check Preferences, Says 4.0 MiB
8) Check settings.conf, it now says MaxThumbNailFileSize=4096 again.
This confirms the Bug, just as everybody else has so far.
B)
Fresh VM of Tumbleweed, pcmanfm-qt, lximage-qt, and libfm-qt with the altered
BuildRequires installed
1) Open PCmanFM-qt
2) Check Preferences, Max Thumbnail Size is set to 4.0 MiB
3) Check ~/.config/pcmanfm-qt/lxqt/settings.conf, confirm
MaxThumbNailFileSize=4096
4) Change Value in PCManFM-Qt preferences to 8.0 MiB, Click OK, and Close
PCManFM-Qt
5) Check ~/.config/pcmanfm-qt/lxqt/settings.conf, MaxThumbNailFileSize=4096.
6) Manually edit settings.conf to MaxThumbNailFileSize=8192
6) Manually edit settings.conf to MaxThumbNailFileSize=8192
7) Open PCManFM-Qt, Check Preferences, Says 4.0 MiB
8) Check settings.conf, it *still* says MaxThumbNailFileSize=8192
9) Close PCManFM-Qt
10) Check settings.conf, still 8192
@guzz Can you please do:
zypper ar
https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/sfalken:/branches:/X11:/LXQ...
home:sfalken:branches:X11:LXQt
zypper dup --from home:sfalken:branches:X11:LXQt
And try to see if manually setting MaxThumbNailFileSize fixes the issue for
you, with my modified test packages?
I honestly don't use file managers much, so my testing capability is limited,
since it's not something I've messed with.
