About the debug symbol problem, would you provide the result of: zypper se -s libreoffice
see: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=747233#c5 Hopefully, I have installed the correct libreoffice*-debuginfo packages, libreoffice --version says: LibreOffice 3.4 340m1(Build:1206) (I wonder a bit, why I have such much different repos including LO*-packages?) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

From "zypper se -s" on your openSuSE 11.4, it seems only getting *openSUSE-11.4-Update-Debug* enabled. There should be some more debuginfo

In Comment 7, the crash log shows some information but not sufficient from libreoffice. Possibly it doesn't have sufficient debuginfo package enabled either?
Ah...perhaps this is the log problem in 12.1: when the crash happens, please give a command "backtrace" to get a trace log and "thread apply all bt" for threads log :) The wiki page shows everything you need to get a rich information back strace: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Bugreport_LO#How_to_get_backtrace -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yi Fan Jiang, in comment #1 you wrote "I could not see the problem in my environment". Could you please describe your environment in more detail. E.g. does it perhaps work in a 32-bit i586 environment? Or does it perhaps work by chance with a particular scanner driver (i.e. which scanner did you use to reproduce it)?
Hi Johannes, Thanks for the thorough investigation :) This message of the comment seems useless now since I initially thought it would be something related the LO scanner dialog UI. And I don't have a real scanner on hand at the moment. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
