Have a look at "Background Information" in http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:How_to_Report_a_Printing_Issue If you cannot reproduce it with /usr/share/cups/webcontent/images/sample-image.png attach a (small) example file to make sure we use the same input data for our tests. Does it also happen when you print /usr/share/cups/webcontent/images/sample-image.png or your particular file from the command line like lp -d print_queue file_name versus lp -d print_queue -o landscape file_name Perhaps you need additional options like -o fit-to-page -o scaling=100 if your image is bigger than the printable area. Usually gimp's printing output should be PostScript so that you can view the print spool files whether or not the issue is already in gimp's printing output. On my SLED11-SP1 workstation gimp's printing output contains ----------------------------------------------------------------- %!PS-Adobe-3.0 %%Creator: cairo 1.8.8 (http://cairographics.org) ----------------------------------------------------------------- so that actually it is the graphics library cairo which makes gimp's PostScript printing output.
