http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1134997 Bug ID: 1134997 Summary: yast2 doesn't handle transactional mode Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.1 Hardware: Other URL: https://trello.com/c/x9xt9BhA OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Release Notes Assignee: sknorr@suse.com Reporter: lnussel@suse.com QA Contact: lnussel@suse.com CC: ancor@suse.com, fcrozat@suse.com, kukuk@suse.com, rbrown@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1128853 +++ According to the comments from Thorsten (https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1128853#c5) it is well known and documented that yast does not work in transactional mode. So we should have a paragraph in the release notes on Leap side too to state that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Just because it was opened for 15.1 doesn't mean the problem isn't any less true for 15.3/15.4
Re opening, and even though I'm not responsible for Leap I'd agree the release notes should include a note to this effect
I don't mind including this in 15.3 and 15.4. Do you think the text above is OK or should something be changed? I tried to gather information from the comments so it might not be accurate. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
