I am testing on released OpenSUSE 10.2 with gaim version 1.5.0-85. I have only tested against the AOL and Jabber protocol plugins. Maybe this problem exists in a protocol I have not tested. Steps. 1) Setup my AOL and Jabber accounts in GAIM 2) Set my idle time for "away" messages to 2 minutes. 3) Let the machine sit idle for > 2 minutes and then verify the default away on a secondary machine for both accounts. 4) Create a custom away message "Test" 5) Manually set the away message "Test" on the Jabber account 6) Verify on the secondary machine 7) Wait > 2 minutes for status to change back to default. This did not happen. The message stayed on the custom away for > 10 minutes. 8) Repeated steps 6 & 7 against the AOL account. 9) Manually set both accounts to the custom away and waited for > 2 minutes - both accounts never changed back to the default away.
