[Bug 1159247] New: Konsole "Black on Random Light" Color Scheme Gives Black Background Always
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1159247 Bug ID: 1159247 Summary: Konsole "Black on Random Light" Color Scheme Gives Black Background Always Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Factory Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Applications Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: bill_wayson@yahoo.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 826152 --> http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/attachment.cgi?id=826152&action=edit konsole with Black on Random Light color scheme With update to Konsole 19.12.0 (package konsole19.12.0-1.1-x86_64) (or konsole-part or ?), the Black on Random Light color scheme results in the background always being black no matter how many konsoles are started. To reproduce: 1. Open a konsole; 2. Choose the menu item Settings -> Edit Current Profile...; 3. Select the Appearance icon on the left; 4. Under the Color scheme & font tab, choose the Black on Random Light option; 5. Move the Edit Profile dialog aside or press the OK button; 6. Observe the black konsole screen (i.e. black text on black background). Expected results are black text on a light background (light blue, initially) which changes with each subsequent konsole opened. The attached screenshot shows the prompts as the black text on black background. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

--- Comment #6 from Wolfgang Bauer
This has been happening to me in TW probably for over a year, by right clicking in the window and choosing black on white. After restarting it's back to light on black.
This is a completely different problem, and one that I cannot reproduce here. It seems to not save the settings correctly. I remember seeing similar problems years ago (when changing the default profile), but they should be fixed meanwhile. Try on a fresh user account, and/or create a new profile (in Settings->"Manage Profiles") and make sure that it is set as default before making your changes. If that doesn't help, feel free to file a new bug report about your problem, preferably upstream. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
