[Bug 1049658] New: gscan2pdf (with scanner settings)
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1049658 Bug ID: 1049658 Summary: gscan2pdf (with scanner settings) Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.3 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: terje@nordland-teknikk.no QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- The default Leap 42.3 'simple-scan' scanner application doesn't seem to have any settings menu available for adjustments like light and contrast etc. (maybe it was available in a previous version?) 'skanlite' on the other hand doesn't seem to be able to scan to pdf format. 'gscan2pdf' would be a more flexible and powerful frontend to try, but it is missing in the default 42.3 repositories. I've tried to install the available version 1.8.0 from the Publishing repo, but there are still missing dependicies 'perl(Sane)'. Tried to install 'perl-Sane' which let 'gscan2pdf' install, but upon startup it claimed about missing 'perl(Gtk2::Ex::Simple::List)'.
From home:cornfeedhobo there is a 'perl-Gtk2-Ex-Simple-List' for Leap 42.1 only....
