I'm sure you cannot reproduce the problem easily; If you would it would be common problem. What would be useful though would be some suggestions as to where I might look on my system as to what might be causing this; stale state/config files or some such. It's the gnome issue in 11.3 that makes me think this is not kde related. Some changes are required in sshd_config on the server side to accommodate some related version changes in ssh. I just can't recall.. and I'm not at my server now. By now I'm on the latest updates for 11.3 and the situation is still the same for me. If I have a keyfile named 'identity' in my $HOME/.ssh directory kio_sftp fails. I'm in the habit of copying most of my HOME directory when moving to a new system (incl. the ~/.ssh directory). It's a completely legal file(name) for SSH though.
