http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=566333 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=566333#c0 Summary: Phonon states that the audio device player NVidia CK804 with ALC850 does not work and that it falls back to PulseAudio. Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@novell.com ReportedBy: publio.escipion.el.africano@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=333619) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=333619) Phonon states that the audio device player NVidia CK804 with ALC850 does not work and that it falls back to PulseAudio: a screenshot. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; es-ES; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091103 SUSE/3.5.5-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.5 Phonon states that the audio device player NVidia CK804 with ALC850 does not work and that it falls back to PulseAudio. (I attach a screenshot, hwinfo and installed packages xml.) It happens always, after I installed Gnome (cf. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=558250#c6), although the notification screenshot comes from KDE (after every start up, no after a re-login), whatever be the desktop. Although my audio devices are set to 80%, 90 % volume, the principal manifestation of this issue is that the volume of all my multimedia application xine engine based is reset to zero. It is openSuSE 11.2 Final (official released KDE and Gnome) x86_64. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.After installing Gnome, the desktop complaints that the NVidia CK804 does not work in each startup. 2.open a multimedia application xine engine based. 3.it plays with no sound (the user still can adjust it the application). Actual Results: Although my audio devices are set to 80%, 90 % volume, the principal manifestation of this issue is that the volume of all my multimedia application xine engine based is reset to zero (the user still can adjust it the application). Expected Results: At least, remember my volume settings or take them from that I gave to the audio output through the desktop (task bar) audio icon. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
