[Bug 1208978] Xorg coredumps with Kernel 6.2.1-1
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1208978 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1208978#c6 --- Comment #6 from Santiago Zarate <santiago.zarate@suse.com> --- (In reply to Stefan Dirsch from comment #4)
I think the build of G05 drivers against latest kernels failed at this time. It gets automatically rebuilt when updating the kernel.
This should be fixed in the nvidia TW repository since 2023-03-06 17:58 (pacific time zone). Could you try to reinstall nvidia-gfxG05-kmp-default? What you can do is
rpm -e nvidia-gfxG05-kmp-default --nodeps zypper in nvidia-gfxG05-kmp-default
Still no dice, switched to G06 (proprietary) but doesn't seem to have `x11-video-nvidiaG06` as it does with G05, so my system with Wayland:
echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE wayland
But is still usable, so I'm surprised there :D. Just did a full system upgrade and will reboot and see, will take a look on the Nvidia open driver on another machine that has a 3090 TI. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
