During recording phase drive's LED is on. In wodim's TAO mode progress bars of buffers do show actual info, but writing fails on 2% of total progress (see report above). In all the tests you did is cdrecord called with dev=X,X,X which equals to dev=/dev/sgX. This bug is probably duplicate of bug 226019, which I have reproduced with usb burner, however I need you to verify it.
