[Bug 1205860] hplip does not have support for scanner of HP deskjet 2700 series

I have 3.22.6 installed.
Understood. 3.22.10 is now available from Base:System, and will probably hit Factory next week.
Perhaps this printer needs the hplip proprietary plugin? Try running the "hp-plugin" tool.
This one is/was already installed.
Well you need to _run_ it. It is just the installer for the actual plugin, which can't be packaged because it has a proprietary license.
Trying Yast to add a scanner I got the picture in the attachment. Selecting the 2700 (see the blue background) and selecting Add did not result in adding a scanner.
You seem to have this scanner twice in the screenshot. For scanners, normally nothing needs to be done except adding the sane hpaio backend. Make sure /etc/sane.d/dll.conf contains the line "hpaio", and run scanimage with debugging, e.g. SANE_DEBUG_DLL=255 scanimage -L -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
