Thanks
I tested on a board with half a gigabyte of memory and the installer crashed due to OOM.
This means there is no point in supporting armv6 because these boards don't have enough memory to run the installer. Also we support like 3 different armv6 boards all based on the same chip so the ability to customize the installation is not going to give us much anyway.
You may try using swap on zram. I've just filed a feature request here: https://jira.suse.com/browse/PM-2253 I've been successful installing SLE 15 SP3 in Qt using RAM 512 MB. But TW needs probably more for some reason. At least the TW from last week. Anyway, PLS, give it a try, this might change quite some things... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

As for armv6 AFAIK the only boards that are supported are Raspberry Pi 0, 1, and 2 out of which Pi 2 is available with 1GB ram, and the others presumably with 0.5GB - it is hard to get exact data. If installer works for SLE with zram it would probably work for Leap on these boards as well.

Thanks, that's indeed interesting. However, as has been pointed out in the JIRA ticket it would not help this case of running Tumbleweed on 512MB ram. Using swap I can run the installer until the point it fails to find any product in the Tumbleweed repository. I do not expect this will be any better with Leap. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Raspberry Pi 2 was Armv7 already. armv6hl is for 0, 0W and 1. The 1 started at 256 MiB for A/B and went up to 512 MiB for A+/B+ - note that the GPU reserves part of that nominal memory, so an Installer would have even less at its disposal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi#RAM -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
