http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=937854 Bug ID: 937854 Summary: devel:languages:nodejs/npm: Bug Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software Assignee: i@marguerite.su Reporter: bruno@ioda-net.ch QA Contact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com CC: jgleissner@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Trying to install nodejs + npm from repository under openSUSE 13.1 give zypper in nodejs-0.12.5-69.1.x86_64 npm Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Resolving package dependencies... Problem: nothing provides npm(request) < 2.58 needed by npm-2.11.2-13.1.noarch Solution 1: do not install npm-2.11.2-13.1.noarch Solution 2: break npm-2.11.2-13.1.noarch by ignoring some of its dependencies Choose from above solutions by number or cancel 1/2/c: (on openSUSE 13.1) If I fork nodejs, and simply enable the npm build we don't have any issue. last npm will always be available in last nodejs why complicated things ? so the source are already there. Why not to try to package a separate npm from the nodejs.spec ? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
