After update from factory it does not get better, using an old xorg.conf from a previous installation helps. Switching to runlevel 3 and running sax2 -r disables the mouse and touchpad completely. It's also not easy to take care for several different things in one report. So a short status on this one is: - DDC information comes from the monitor. The monitor doesn't report them which could be a problem of the monitor or the BIOS.
