After installation of OSS 11.1 there is absolutely no sound available. With OSS 11.1 and OSS 10.x there were no problems at all. With kubuntu 10.8 there are no sound problems.
I have proceeded in accordance with http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:AudioTroubleshooting but without success.
Linux 2.6.27.7-9-pae i686 System: openSUSE 11.1 (i586) KDE: 3.5.10 "release 21.9"

My rough guess is that you turn on "Audigy Analog/Digital Output Jack" switch. Try turn it on/off. Basically this must be off for analog outputs.
It was implemented wrongly (in a reverse way) for some Audigy models and the logic was fixed recently.

Furthermore it is possible to play audio-files with amarok. Kaffeine doesn't work. Audio-CDs cannot be played.

The kaffeine problem is irrelevant with the driver issue. It's likely pulseaudio or the setup problem.
The audio-CD is also irrelevant. On 11.1, there is a known problem of the device permission about CD, and this could hit. Anyway, more details are neede (as always).
