Summary: [X11:Compiz] cannot bind multiple actions to mouse button 1 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: cyberorg@opensuse.org ReportedBy: jmatejek@novell.com QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: ---
default setting for Alt+Button1 is "initiate window move"
my preferred setting is to have focus follow mouse, no automatic raise, no raise on click (all works fine) and raise window on Alt+Button1.
up to 11.1, this worked without problems, i could both raise and move the window with alt+button1. in the latest version, compiz-0.7.8-20.1 from X11:Compiz repo, this is no longer possible - i can set the binding, but the window is not raised on alt+click.
when i try to bind to alt+button2 (default action is "initiate window resize"), it works as expected - the window is raised and a resize is initiated
steps to reproduce: 1. install & start compiz, default configuration 2. fire up CCSM, go to General settings 3. in Focus&raise behavior, disable Click to focus, Autoraise and Raise on click 3. in Key bindings, pick Raise window by mouse (raise_window_button), assign Alt+Button1 4. in the following dialog, confirm that you want to set the binding anyway 5. try to raise a covered window by alt+clicking, observe that it doesn't work
my system is 11.1, intel core2 duo (x86_64), desktop is GNOME. i confirmed this problem on NVIDIA GeForce7600 and Intel X3100 GPU's.
