[Bug 1208249] New: French locales not set after installation on MicroOS Plasma
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1208249 Bug ID: 1208249 Summary: French locales not set after installation on MicroOS Plasma Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: MicroOS Assignee: kubic-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: alexandre@eskulap.fr QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:109.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/109.0 Build Identifier: Hello ! To begin, thank you all for this OS. Your work is top notch. And I am sorry if I make some mistakes in the words that I'm using, I'm French. My configuration : Lenovo Thinkpad P14s 20Y Ryzen 4750U Opensuse MicroOs (installation from 20230209) with KDE Plasma on Wayland A brief summary of my problem : My language (choosen during the installation) and settings associated with it (date format, currency etc.) are not applied on first boot. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install MicroOS Plasma with "French" language selected during installation Actual Results: On the first boot, note that the language is set on "American English" in "Settings". All the texts are in English. Changing the language in "Country and Language" to "French" does not have any visual effect. Moreover, you need to change every item in it (Currency, Adresse, etc...) by hand. Expected Results: Having selected "French" at the first step of the installation should have set the French locales in KDE Plasma. Mitigation : By changing every item in "Country and Language" by hand. And by setting : localectl set-locale LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 Then reboot : texts are in French, the clock in plasma taskbar stays in the "AM/PM" format however. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
