http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1123534 Bug ID: 1123534 Summary: openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Kubic-x86_64 uses tumbleweed workflow Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Kubic Assignee: snwint@suse.com Reporter: kukuk@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: kubic-bugs@opensuse.org Found By: --- Blocker: --- /srv/tftpboot/suse-tftp-install/openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Kubic-x86_64/control.xml is the Kubic control.xml file, but if you PXE boot, /control.xml in the inst-sys is the tumbleweed control.xml. Don't know from where the wrong control.xml is coming. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Could we please stop putting a control.xml in the root directory and only in the installer directory? Or at least prefer the one of the correct, new location over the legacy location? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Looking at our ISOs I guess the rule should be: control.xml from skelcd-control-FOO (if the file exists) should not be added to the media. But that's for the media creation tool, not installation-images. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

But there's: - skelcd-control-leanos containing control.xml - but it's not on the media - skelcd-control-SLES containing SLES.xml (also not directly on the media) So I guess there's probably some magic during product creation at work already... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yes, that's what I thought as well. But there's:
- skelcd-control-leanos containing control.xml - but it's not on the media - skelcd-control-SLES containing SLES.xml (also not directly on the media)
So I guess there's probably some magic during product creation at work already...
What you list is multi-product SLE15 magic, ignore that. SLE15 does not have this problem, there is no control.xml in the root of the installation DVD. Everything is fine there. It's only Tumbleweed and Kubic which have this file in the root of the DVD. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
