If I boot the system while a USB device is connected, I only get a black screen. I tried a usb keyboard and a usb mouse. Everything works if I plug them in after booting. I am sorry but I do not know how to obtain more information, since the screen stays black. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Plug in USB devices. Start machine. (USB works in grub) --> Black screen after grub. 2. Unplug USB devices. Start machine. That his EDD implementation is broken? yes
Why does it work in Windows? afaik, because windows does not do that probe.
However the information to boot with edd=off should be more easily accessible.
