[Bug 699298] New: xine fails to open peculiarly named subdirectories, such as "Voltus V, &c."
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=699298 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=699298#c0 Summary: xine fails to open peculiarly named subdirectories, such as "Voltus V, &c." Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: publio.escipion.el.africano@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; es-ES; rv:1.9.2.17) Gecko/20110420 SUSE/3.6.17-0.2.1 Firefox/3.6.17 openSuSE 11.4 x86_64 Final + Updates, KDE4. xine fails to open peculiarly named subdirectories, such as "Voltus V, &c.", i. e. "Voltus V, etc.", so no files within can be selected, no playlist can be made. I had to edit manually a playlist to load the files (it would be simpler to rename the directory, but, besides it is a matter of aesthetics and I have a lot named of that kind, it was in a CD medium). Through a playlist xine can access the directory "Voltus V, &c." and the files within. So, it is not a problem of the name itself, but of the way xine handles the string which contains it, I think. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Launch xine. 2. Try to open a directory named such as "Voltus V, &c." in order to select a file or produce a playlist. 3. The directory selected, clicked, double-clicked, *-clicked, will not be accessed... Actual Results: The directory named such as "Voltus V, &c." can not be accessed. Expected Results: The directory named such as "Voltus V, &c." could be accessed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
