I just installed Leap 15 Beta build213.2 with GNOME desktop (Wayland+X11) and I noticed there are no packages available in GNOME Software app. Also Categories are missing in "All" packages section.
"zypper lr" shows usual set of repositories for Leap. GNOME is currently using XWayland.

try installing fwupd. that dependency was missing before (https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1090042#c5)
Installing of fwupd really solved the issue and there are no popups anymore. I even could see that gnome-software was looking for available firmware when started. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
