[Bug 1010663] New: Suspending an Xfce session causes logout with data loss
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1010663 Bug ID: 1010663 Summary: Suspending an Xfce session causes logout with data loss Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Xfce Assignee: bnc-team-xfce@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: christoph.wickert@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I am using Xfce with lightdm and light-locker. After upgrading to Leap 42.2, suspending an Xfce session results in a logout and data loss. Reproducible: Always How to reproduce: 1. Log in to an Xfce session. 2. Make sure "Automatically save session on logout" is not set: xfconf-query -c xfce4-session -p /general/AutoSave -s false 3. Open an application. This will show whether or not the session was resumed. 4. Suspend. It does not make a difference if you use "Logout -> Suspend" from the main menu, xfce4-panel's "Action Buttons" plugin, or "xfce4-session-logout -s" from the command line. Result: User is logged out. After waking up, lightdm is shown. You are free to choose any locale you want, so obviously the last session was not restored. All open applications and their contents are lost. Expected result: lightdm should not allow my user to select locale as there is still a session running. Upon unlocking it, it should be resumed with all running applications. Additional information: lightdm and light-locker are working correctly. A session locked with "light-locker-command -l" and be restored just fine. At first I thought this was due to a change in systemd's logind, but setting "KillUserProcesses=no" in /etc/systemd/logind.conf did not help. The session and all it's contents is lost. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
