This is a bug I discovered some time ago with previous versions and not yet reported.
I open an old rg document (the one from bug 595562), and try to import the studio from a saved file (studio1.rg)
At that time, rosegarden seems to go in an endless loop taking up all memory+swap resulting in oom killing it and firefox.

--- Comment #4 from Dave Plater davejplater@gmail.com 2010-04-29 08:46:38 UTC --- Reported upstream via email and fixed in svn rev 11885 with thanks. I'll build it for you to test.
JFYI this is what happened when I reproduced it, maybe libqt4-4.62 has better handling of situations like this, I had a system slowdown and nothing crashed.

--- Comment #5 from Dave Plater davejplater@gmail.com 2010-04-29 12:52:40 UTC --- All the fixes have been backported to 10.04.2 which in multimedia:apps is called rosegarden4-10.04-34.1 or higher and has the console debug messages disabled, which might speed it up a bit.
