[Bug 334301] New: Online Update xorg-x11-devel/ km_drm messes up mouse wheel assignment
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=334301 Summary: Online Update xorg-x11-devel/km_drm messes up mouse wheel assignment Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: sndirsch@novell.com ReportedBy: aosthof@novell.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Development After installing the available online updates km_drm and xorg-x11-devel/xorg-x11-libs the mouse wheel assignment is messed up. Thus, "mouse wheel down" works as expected, but "mouse wheel up" is now assigned to "mouse wheel down", too, but with approximately triple speed. So, there's no "mouse wheel up" functionality anymore. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

This package is no longer available since 10.1. The xorg-libs/xorg-x11-devel update only includes a security fix when you're using the new catalogue dir support, which probably currently nobody does. http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2007-June/025744.html This seems to be something completely different. At least attach your xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=334301#c2 --- Comment #2 from Alexander Osthof <aosthof@novell.com> 2007-10-17 02:28:31 MST --- Hmm, I thought the mentioned updates are the ones to blame, because the bug occurred directly after installing those updates. So maybe it could be that another update package caused the erroneous behavior. Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly which updates were available/installed and also don't know a way how to find out. So my expectation was the X-Server, because I saw on download.opensuse.de/updates/10.3 that there are related update package available which maybe were installed. The fact, that downgrading the X-Server to the original 10.3 version has solved the problem fortified my assumption. Anyway, attached are the required files. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Nothing obvious in logfile. Probably because this is the logfile for the packages, which are currently working.
