The latest Nvidia Display driver for Linux version 173.08 does support FX 3600M. I followed the suggested steps to install and compile this driver and to configure X on openSUSE 10.3 as described by Nvidia http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_173.08.html Afterwards it's possible with SaX2 to configure the WUXGA monitor as a LCD 1920x1200@75Hz, but SaX2 doesn't discover the GPU card and use only a generic VESA frame buffer instead. NVIDIA is not seen on the options list either. The display resolution alone works ok. For one or another reason the Gnome Control Center screen resolution tool tells the refresh rate is only 50Hz. However; Desktop Effects tells the graphic card is not supported by Xgl, and SaX2 tells that 3D acceleration is not supported and cannot be activated because the card/driver doesn't support 3D.
