[Bug 1201322] New: Restrictive access rights of gschemas.compiled prevent the start of applications
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1201322 Bug ID: 1201322 Summary: Restrictive access rights of gschemas.compiled prevent the start of applications Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: screening-team-bugs@suse.de Reporter: daniel@bachtanian.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- openSUSE Tumbleweed version 20220706 Non-root users cannot start Firefox or virt-manager (other applications may also be affected) because the file permissions of /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/gschemas.compiled are 0600. Changing these permissions to 0644 solves the problem. This error has been occurring for a few weeks (sorry I can't be more specific). But the problem occurs again after running zypper up - not in every case, but occasionally. I could not yet find out which package upgrade causes the problem.
