The packages need to build without hacks in Factory - cycles need to be broken up
that is definitely a good and understandable policy, but how do you do that in such a case, where A version y requires B >= x to build, and B version x requires A >= y to build? I would really like to know how that can be resolved without any temporary hacks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

the cycle is between opencolorio/openimageio/openshadinglanguage?
It's a direct cycle between ocio and oiio -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

Yes, but it's more intertwined than that, because without these binaries, OIIO tests fail, IIRC.. I tried to discuss this on the factory ML, https://marc.info/?l=opensuse-factory&m=163035477805169&w=3 but nobody chimed in. Of course, the correct way of fixing this is a multibuild. @Mathias, if you feel adventurous enough, you might want to try blender-293 from home:frispete:blender. It's in a pretty good shape according to my son. ;-) There's even a blender-git available.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

should I open a new report instead, since this one is still in "NEW" even though it *was* fixed? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
