[Bug 700350] New: KVM: SLES guests become unresponsive after running load tests
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=700350 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=700350#c0 Summary: KVM: SLES guests become unresponsive after running load tests Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mwenzel@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Other Blocker: --- I have 3 SLES guests installed on KVM with latest Virtualization repo bits. SLES10 SP4 x86_64, SLES11 SP1 x86_64 and SLES11 SP1 i586. After running a load test (simple build of kernel source) the guests will become unresponsive from virt-manager/virt-viewer. All you get are black screens which appear to be the result of the screensaver starting in the guests. The guests will not respond to keyboard/mouse input and never appear to wake up. 'top' shows the qemu processes still active and loading multiple cpus. vncviewer will open a new window for each guest, but they still will not respond. I can not even ssh into the guest from another system. BTW I could not find a KVM or Virtualization component for openSUSE 11.4. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Reports against openSUSE 11.4 and prior will not get the attention needed to resolve them before openSUSE 12.2 is release and openSUSE 11.4 becomes unmaintained. Please re-test with openSUSE 12.1 or openSUSE RC2+ and re-open with an updated Product if you still encounter your issue. We apologize for this issue not getting the attention it deserves but we are focusing our resources in the area where they will have the most impact for our users. We're working hard to make openSUSE 12.2 the best openSUSE release yet! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
