[Bug 242479] New: BS repo adds fine in zypper but not in yast2 inst_source
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=242479 Summary: BS repo adds fine in zypper but not in yast2 inst_source Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: poeml@novell.com ReportedBy: marcio.ferreira@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: mrueckert@novell.com Ive tooked the liberty of assigning this to mrueckert@novell.com and poeml@novell.com , as they were involved in the similar bug https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=239483 to make it go "faster". Sorry if it causes any problem. The problem is that adding a repo in Yast PM throws an error, but adds fine in zypper. Its not a redirector issue (software.opensuse.org), I believe, because Ive seen it happening in both software.opensuse.org and ftp.gwdg.de. The repo in case is a BS repository, yum/repo-md source. Time is GMT-2 in the log files, and distro is an opensuse 10.2, fully updated (the yast and PM related rpms, no zmd/rug - thx god) *** adding via yast http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_10.2/ This error pops up: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_10.2/ Unknown Error: Downloading metadata failed (is YUM source?) or user did not accept remote source. Aborting refresh. *** Adding with zypper: throws an error but adds, packages shows up in yast2 sw_single # zypper sa http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_10.2/ Determining http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_10.2/ source type... http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_10.2/ is type YUM Not found: Media Exception /repodata/repomd.xml (http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/X11:/XGL/openSUSE_10.2/) is signed with an unknown key id: 3B3011B76B9D6523, continue? https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=242479 ------- Comment #4 from marcio.ferreira@gmail.com 2007-02-06 11:45 MST ------- I see, just tried again adding via yast, after importing the BS key with "rpm --import http://software.opensuse.org/openSUSE-Build-Service.asc" It does add correctly now. But I still think the pop-up yast throws is not very informative. Maybe as enhancement it could suggest you havent accepted the key? Or pop-up with a yes-no dialog asking you if you would like to accept it at that point? I think its reasonable, if the guys went all hist way to yast2 inst_source url he probably wants to add it. For example I havent noticed that problem until now heh. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
