With this kernel the touchpad stopped freezing and became operational. In "System settings" - "Hardware" - "Input Devices" - "Touchpad" tab now settings that were previously unavailable were activated, except for the "Sensitivity" tab, where the "Sensitivity" and "Palm Detection" settings are remained inactive. At first, I set the action with one finger. Now the laptop will be tested when working with the touchpad without using the mouse and then I will try more complex settings - with two and three fingers. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1123871 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1123871#c5 --- Comment #5 from Jack Patry <BEPCTAK@gmail.com> --- With the kernel 4.20.8-2.gcc8092a-default the touchpad operation is acceptable. I did not quite understand what “Edge Scrolling” and “Two-Finger Scrolling” are in the touchpad settings - in both modes, scrolling works the same with one finger. Now I will test the work of the touchpad with the kernel 5.0.rc6-1.1.geb4b248-86_64 from "HEAD" repo. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1123871 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1123871#c6 --- Comment #6 from Jack Patry <BEPCTAK@gmail.com> --- With the kernel 5.0.rc6-1.1.geb4b248-86_64 the touchpad operates same as with the kernel 4.20.8-2.gcc8092a-default. I realized the difference between the "Edge Scrolling" and "Two-Finger Scrolling" settings. These functions work, for example, in Firefox, but when scrolling with two fingers on an empty area of the desktop, the active window jumps several times, disappearing at the top of the screen and reappearing in the same place. Thus, with both the kernels you specify, the touchpad works in the same way. I continue to use the kernel 5.0.rc6-1.1.geb4b248-86_64 and test the touchpad. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
