[Bug 668138] New: KDE/X11 sometimes ignore/delay input
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=668138 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=668138#c0 Summary: KDE/X11 sometimes ignore/delay input Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: All OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: bwiedemann@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development Blocker: --- I have been repeatedly observing delayed/lost X11 keystrokes in KDE in some of my automated testruns on openqa.opensuse.org for several weeks. The testruns autodetected the "kontact" test to fail, but the logs show, that the alt-f2 keystroke to open the application launcher after the amarok test, did nothing. In other cases, it took 15-30 seconds for KDE to react to a ctrl-alt-delete. The CPU is always idle in those cases. note: the tests use KVM emulated hardware and no such loss of input was observed before 2011-01-05 first seen in http://openqa.opensuse.org/results/openSUSE-NET-i586-Build0991 2011-01-05 02:28 http://openqa.opensuse.org/opensuse/video/openSUSE-NET-i586-Build0991.ogv at 03:48 http://openqa.opensuse.org/results/openSUSE-NET-i586-Build0991-KDF 2011-01-05 in the video after 04:04 where it sends alt-f2 which is ignored This is still happening in current Factory - especially in the longer (>30m) testruns. commits in that timeframe, that could have broken things: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-commit/2011-01/msg00010.html http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-commit/2011-01/msg00002.html This might be related to bug 660166 or maybe it is something new. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
