[Bug 543424] New: include documentation on installation dvd
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=543424 Summary: include documentation on installation dvd Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 7 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Usability AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: estellnb@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/3.5; Linux) KHTML/3.5.10 (like Gecko) SUSE The full inclusion of all available documentation is vital for the offline-usability of the OpenSuSE-dvd. You can not make use of python without having python-doc installed and without access to the internet. It is the same for selfhtml and selflinux. Please assure that at least the most important doku is available on DVD as this is vital if you do not have access to the internet; it will then be the only source of information. Better leave some little used software out. If you have a concrete package that is not on the DVD, but exists in the online repository, file a concrete bug. I won't accept meta bugs -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I would also personally wish to have xorg-x11-doc on DVD because it is a basic system library. If kdelibs4-doc and gtk*-doc are on DVD why not xorg-x11-doc? You have to make direct X11 calls from time to time even when working with an all-in-one gui-package. Besides this how can I install and start the podserver for perl-doc on an openSUSE system? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
