I got the mouse cursor mooving over the other two monitores (the two ones from the 2nd video card), but I got no working screen/desktop on it... 3. Yes, I used nvidai here. The nv one crashes (or better SaX2 crashes?). I need a "big desktop" and for a long time I used a nvidia quadro nvs 440 (the days before two matrox DH) with xinerama. But because of the incredible bad performance I bought two dual head cards in the hope I get a working 4 head setup there (with no xinerama). I know: nvidia proprietary are not supported at all (makes sense, for sure!) but other drivers didn't work. SaX2 crashes with the "nv", it only works if I'm using the proprietry ones from nvidia. Well.. I guess I need to try some completely different way: Installing xp/vista at the "bottom" and then try to use opensuse in a virtual machine. I just need a big desktop... :-/ Thank you for your informations. What I did the last days: (After removing the nvidia quadro 440nvs and adding the two 9800gt) runlevel 5 did not work anymore, ok. I then tried to use SaX2 (with and without -r option), but it always faild with no comming up X. The time after this I've updated a lot of components (kde, compiz, X11/Xgl...) by adding repositories from the OBS. And the xorg.conf I used here was build by the nvidia-settings tool. I just remember one working SaX2 setup with the "-a" switch. Now I try to reproduce the old problem but SaX2 works (: Unloading nvidia module, agpgart and starting with -r works, too... don't know. Seems to me that you can close the bug with a "wont fix" comment. Thank you for your reply. I've short question for the test... meanwhile I've switched to 11.1 final with no devel packages and for some days I use Xfce. This was the only way to have the 2x2 head setup out of the box (two screens with nvidias twinview and nvidia closed source driver). So what's the best way to test your new compiz sh script? Should I add some compiz...kde... repositories again and if yes, which? Sorry for this but over the days I stopped futher tests.
