http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1065040 Bug ID: 1065040 Summary: emacs uses pinentry-ncurses in console, which is unusable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: michael.moese@posteo.de QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- When using gpg encrypted files, like, for example. authinfo.gpg for GNUS, one has to enter the passphrase. When running inside an Xsession, pinentry-qt4 does the job, more or less, but opens a new dialog window. But when running in console, emacs uses "pinentry-ncurses", which would display a full-screen dialog, asking to enter the passphrase. However, this does obviously not fit into the one line that is available. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
